Today we are reminded from the Old Testament prophet Nahum of the faithfulness and justice of God. In the face of wickedness and alienation, God promises to hold the guilty accountable and to lift up those who call on His name.

Nahum 1:3

The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,

and the Lord will by no means clear the guilty.

His way is in whirlwind and storm,

and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
