Each year at Christmas, Blackhawk Ministries looks to build on our storied history and legacy of generosity by coming together to give our greatest and best gifts to Jesus. It is His birth that we celebrate and honor through our annual Give Light Offering. Jesus is the light of the world, and we want to spread His life-giving light. This year’s Give Light Offering will take place in both services on Sunday, December 10. This is one big offering, and once again we are striving for a very intentional challenge: 100% participation. At Blackhawk, we come together every year to give above and beyond your regular giving to this very special opportunity. We believe in an Acts 4:32 approach to giving, where ALL of us sacrificially contribute to meet needs in Jesus’ name. We are better together! No gift is too small to make a difference.

The goal of our Give Light Offering is very simple this year: give it all away in Jesus’ name! In a world where uncertainty abounds, our mission remains certain. Instead of sitting on our resources in fear, we are determined to Give Light in faith, knowing that God always blesses a church on mission. After meeting our year-to-date stewardship responsibility, which includes our weekly budget requirement, plus anything needed to bring us to our year-to-date budget amount, every dollar will go to local and global missions.

MIDDLE EAST & NORTH AFRICA

God is active in the MENA region and Blackhawk is blessed to partner in those efforts. This year your gift will help continued evangelism in Sohag, New Sohag, and Hurghada and through all of Egypt. You will be apart of mobilizing ministry in Lebanon & with Syrian refugees, as well assisting to build churches throughout the region.

EAST AFRICA

Your gift supports the work that God is doing in Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan including building churches in South Sudan and Kenya, helping to fund a mobile medical clinic, and serving Sudanese Refugees.

LOCAL OUTREACH

Outreach is an essential aspect of the church’s mission to spread the love of Jesus and make disciples of all nations. By meeting the needs of the community, we display God’s love and offer an invitation to get to know Him better. Your gift will help our efforts in the community and local schools like water bottles and winter clothing, as well as supporting local partners like New Mercies Ministries, Four:10 Ministries, and Fort Wayne PrayerWorks.

MOBILIZATION

Your gift not only helps to fund the mobilization of future missionaries and mission work through training, short term trip supplements, mission internships support, and more.
