Child dedication is an act of faith in the presence of God and His people in which parents solemnly and earnestly offer their children up to God for His wise and sovereign purposes in their lives, and offer ourselves up to God for the holy responsibility of being biblical parents and raising our children in the fear, knowledge, and joy of the Lord.
We ask our church family to pledge to pray for these little ones as they come to mind, and come alongside, and encourage these parents as they seek to raise their children in our community of faith.
During the Child Dedication Class we pray though each of the promises we are committing to as we dedicative our child to God.
Promise 1: To acknowledge our children as gifts of God
Promise 2:To surrender worldly claims on our children
Promise 3: To bring up our children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord
Promise 4: To provide for our Children
Promise 5: To pray for the salvation of our children
