Winter Weather Update

Hello Blackhawk family,

At the risk of stepping into my former career, I want to pass on an update about the approaching winter weather.

As you are probably aware, our first real blast of winter weather is moving into our area.  Starting tonight at 7:00pm and going through Saturday morning at 7:00am, all of Northern Indiana is under a Winter Storm Warning.

While the snowfall amounts are likely to be in the 4-6” range, the extreme cold and very strong winds will make conditions much worse, even into Saturday morning.  Wind chills will be well below zero, and blowing and drifting snow will make for dangerous road conditions throughout the entire area.

Having said all of that, we are planning no change to our Christmas weekend service schedule.  We will have one service on Christmas Eve at 3:00 and one service on Christmas morning at 10:45.

Please plan on a little extra drive time and be careful and safe as you travel!

See you this weekend!  Merry Christmas!
