The Movement Monthly Newsletter – June 2022
Hello Movement family!
It is so hard to believe that we are in June now and through another school year. I am so grateful for what God has done in this past year, coming off a challenging 2020. I want to celebrate what he has done and his faithfulness in this place and within this student ministry.
In May, we had our Pass the Baton ceremony, and we celebrated our graduating Seniors. It is always such a bitter-sweet night. But we are so proud of each of them! On May 25th, we ended the year with our Finals Feast. A night where students can come and eat junk food, connect and actually study together for finals.
I want to thank the meals team of parents who jumped in to serve each week and those who generously donated meals this year from Hoppy Gnome, Baker’s Street, and Proximo. God did more than we could have asked for or imagined through them!
I am so grateful for our Youth Coaches. We had 21 this year, and they faithfully showed up each week to invest in the lives and hearts of the next generation. This is not an easy role to say yes to, but it is oh so important! Our Youth Coaches are second to none!
I also want to say thank you to our student tech team, student band, and Holden Gajewski for leading. They come in early to line up lights, sounds, teaching slides, and rehearse. These students and Holden serve faithfully each week and are an incredible blessing to us all. We couldn’t do what we do without them!
Finally, thanks to our Student Ministry Associate, Ashleigh Sewell. I hired her last summer, and she has been an absolute rock star. She does excellent work, and her love for Jesus and others is very evident. She makes us all better for sure! Check out the newsletter to read an important update from Ashleigh.
Thanks for supporting your sons and daughters and getting them to join The Movement each week. We are far from a perfect or finished product, but we certainly do love Jesus and your teens as well.

The school year might be over, but the summer fun is about to begin! Join us at The Movement for all of our summer events over the next two months! We can’t wait to hang out together and just have fun. From movie nights to Cedar Point, all of these events will be a blast. Invite your friends and join us for a great time of connection!
