As you are out doing your school supply shopping, you might want to consider our upcoming Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Gift drive this Fall – and catch those school supply deals! (Things like pencils, crayons, rulers, markers, index cards, and notebooks make great Shoebox gifts!)
This Fall Blackhawk will be participating in the Shoebox Outreach. The purpose of packing a shoe box is not to just give a child a Christmas present, but to open the door for them to receive the greatest gift of all…the Gospel!
Empty shoe boxes will be available for pick up in the church lobby beginning Sunday, October 24th. Each box will have a label with it and a list of recommended items for packing, as well as those items that can’t be sent. The boxes will be delivered to predominantly unreached or oppressed areas.
