The Well May 2021 Summary

Last month Blackhawk Women’s Ministry hosted the first semi-annual event titled “The Well.”

Women from all different walks of life came together and learned what it meant to be “rooted”. The night kicked off with mingling, a photo booth, beverages, light refreshments, planting a succulent, and a station to pick seeds.

An all female band lead and amazing evening of worship; you could truly feel the Holy Spirit leading. A panel of five women from different walks of life, a single young woman, a single mom, a married women with children, an empty nester, and a widow talked about how the Lord has grown them and prepared them for their current season. Much like a seed there faith has had hardships, grown, and reproduced. The night ended with a vast amount of giveaways. There was no purchase needed. Just to come and be filled at The Well.

You can find pictures of this event by clicking here: The Well May 2021.

Lastly, below is a letter from the Women’s Ministry Leader Sue Stump to all the volunteers for this event.

Wow! What a wonderful evening.  Seeing so many women come together to fellowship and worship our Lord and Savior was truly inspiring.  Thank you, Jessica, for your vision for “The Well” and for the countless hours spent in planning and prayer.  God was glorified!!

Thank you volunteers for all the hard work you put into this event as well.  I would love to list each person’s name who jumped in to make this event a success but unfortunately, I don’t even have all the names, and if I started, I’m sure I would miss someone and I would hate for that to happen.   So, thank you to all the greeters, you brought a spirit of “welcomeness” to the event.  Thank you to the photography and social media teams for the memories we will have from this special evening.  Thank you to the décor team who made everything so beautiful.  Thank you to those of you who fed the volunteers before hand and served such yummy snack to all our guests.  Thank you, crazy plant lady, for all the succulents and for adding a spark of hilarity to the evening.  Thank you, MC’s, and panel, for sharing what was on your hearts to benefit those of us listening.  Thank you worship team for leading us so well and so beautifully and to the tech team for all the “techy” things you do to make it sound and look great.  And Prayer team, thank you for bathing us in prayer before, during and after the event.  Follow-up team, your work is just starting, and we thank you for loving these women enough to pursue them and answer questions, pray with, and find a fit for anyone who wants to get involved.  I don’t want to forget the maintenance crew for all they do in setting up and cleaning up after everyone has gone home to rest. And finally, thank you to our Blackhawk pastors/leaders for allowing us to use our facility for this event and for supporting Women’s Ministries.  We are forever grateful and continue to lift you up in prayer as you continue to serve and speak truth into the lives of those who hear your voice.

My final shout out is to those of you who came to spend and evening with us.  Thank you!  We loved serving you and I trust that you were filled, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Jesus is the well that will never run dry. Be watching for future events including “The Well” in December.  You can find us on Facebook at Blackhawk Women’s Ministry and on the church’s website Blackhawk Ministries.org.

“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3: 15, 16 (ESV)

In His Love,

Sue Stump
