Our Go Team is organizing a short term mission trip to New York City for June 20-26. There the group with be trained by International Project on how to share the Gospel with internationals, and will put that training into practice on the streets throughout the week. We will have an informational meeting on March 14th to share all of the details.
The Go Team is also going to be offering an 8-week cultural intelligence class to help us better love our neighbors. This class will begin on Wednesday, April 14th from 6:30-8:00.
They are also in the beginning stages of organizing a trip to Israel in 2022. If you would like to learn more about the trips to Israel or New York City, or the Cultural Intelligence class, visit the GO table in the foyer and find all the information online at blackhawk.fyi.
Blackhawk Kids is still looking for volunteers to help on Sunday mornings! We need 20 people for first hour and 10 people for second hour. If you are able to help out, please contact Leah Hilton at the church or go to blackhawkkids.org
Safe Families for Children (SFFC) is a collaboration among local churches, Christian families and individuals, and community agencies designed to help families in crisis by giving them a network of support.
- If you are interested in learning more about Safe Families, check out the Northeast Indiana Safe Families website and subscribe to their newsletter. The newsletter includes a list of most-needed items for the children and families. Our Blackhawk family has been a big part of meeting those needs. Our diaper drive over this last summer, in the middle of a pandemic, still managed to provide the organization with lots of much needed baby and toddler supplies.
- If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Linda Pearson ([email protected]) , Angie Study ([email protected]) or Valerie Burson ([email protected]) here at Blackhawk.
