“Going Back Home”

Back to Uganda!

This past Sunday, Curtis Smith sat down with Kimberly White and talked about her plans to step back into the mission field. Destination ➡️ Uganda. This time, she’ll be traveling with her 13-year old son, Josiah. Kimberly will be helping to facilitate medical care for the people in Uganda, doing a discipleship program with women, and sharing the love of Jesus. Watch the video to find out more about Uganda, Kimberly’s heart for the people there, and Josiah’s amazing adoption story.❤️

Kimberly previously spent 4 years in Uganda. When asked about her upcoming journey back, she said:

It’s not a matter of leaving home here and going to somewhere foreign. I feel like I’m leaving here to go back home.

A few pictures of Kimberly’s previous years in Uganda:

As a Blackhawk church family, we were thankful to support Kimberly during her previous years in Uganda. We’re excited to continue that support, as she steps back into the mission field. If you would like to partner with Kimberly through prayer or financial support:

The people might not have a lot physically, but there is such a richness there… it just captured my heart.

Here at Blackhawk, our MISSION is to “Make Disciples Who Make Disciples.” In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gave His Church the Great Commission to GO and make disciples of all nations. In Acts 1:8, Jesus specifies that our mission starts across our own streets and extends around the world.

How exciting it is as we have the opportunity to support Kimberly and Josiah as they “GO!” 🌍
