Highlights from Blackhawk.FYI:

  • Young Adults –are meeting weekly from 9:30-10:30 on Sunday mornings in room 254. 
  • Family skating event – lessons for all ages and abilities taught by national champion pro skaters and their coach in a Christ-centered event at Bell’s Skating Rink in New Haven, December 5th from 10:00-noon. Event is completely free. Questions? 260-399-0747

BCS opening: Seeking a part-time teacher to teach Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 for eight to twelve weeks starting on January 4 to cover a maternity leave. Apply online at



  • Christmas series 1st 3 weeks in December: FULFILLED. We will learn about many of the prophecies in Scripture regarding the Messiah, and how each of those prophecies was FULFILLED in the person of Jesus Christ.
  • December 11 worship night will be a fun night for the whole family with a great mix of traditional Christmas music and worship songs.
  • Christmas Eve we will be having two services at 5:00 and 7:00.

As a special advent activity for kids, the Blackhawk Kids Team will be providing “Christmas in a Bag”.

  • Christmas in a Bag is an interactive family guide to fun-filled, faith infused, Christ-centered experiences all through the Advent season.
  • Every family will receive their bag with almost everything they need to do the activities, games, etc. that are in their “Advent Adventure” book (which will also be in their bag). It has different activities for the family to do each week of Advent. They will also have the chance to bless another family.
  •  Pick up your bag this Sunday and next:  If you are not attending in person yet,
    you can pick up a bag via drive through distribution November 24th from 12-1 and 4-5 @ Door 2

As always during the month of December, we will collect a year-end offering. This year we want to give life-giving light locally and globally. We want to GIVE LIGHT:

  • Across the street
  • Among our city
  • Around the world
